Paintings Sold

This gallery's focus is on paintings sold from the 1960's until now. I wish I had been more diligent photographing and cataloging my paintings over the years, but often I would sell a painting even while it was drying. Fortunately, a few of my paintings were photographed before I sold them and I have included those images that I have here. Many were sold at restaurant exhibitions, art fairs, bazaars, and occasionally at musical performances, however, and went to buyers before I even had a chance to document them. Three of my paintings and a four-piece "Family-Group" sculpture in redwood are in the estate of the late Leonard Marks, a Manhattan entertainment lawyer who was a dear friend and represented the Beatles and many other renowned artists of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. All of the "dot paintings" -done in the Australian Aboriginal "Papunyal Tula" techniques- were painted over the period from 1986-1990. Many of these paintings, as well as of my abstract expressionist paintings from the 1960s-1990s are in the collection of an Omaha collector who prefers to remain anonymous and are simply noted "BLM/FLB". From old notes from exhibitions I have been able to place titles, sizes, etc. to some of these paintings. Otherwise the names of the owners accompany information about the painting. Also, the viewer will make note that some of these images are exhibited in other galleries here at the site as examples of various styles and techniques.
